Director / Artistic ManagerAssoc. Prof. Rolandas DaugėlaConductor, festival organiser and teacher, Rolandas Daugėla (b. 1961) is an artistic director of the Cantica Children Choir, the Vivere Cantus Student Choir and the Cantate Domino Chamber Choir, all based in Kaunas. He teaches choral conducting at the Juozas Naujalis Music School and the Music Academy of Vytautas Magnus University. In 1992 he launched Cantate Domino, a festival of sacred music, which evolved by 2011 into a series of international choral competitions under the Kaunas Cantat brand before becoming Lituania Cantat, an organisation in charge of six international choral contests and festivals. A member of the Lithuanian Musicians’ Union and the Lithuanian Choir Union, he has been the chief conductor of regional song festivals in Kaunas since 1996 and larger events for Lithuanians from all over the world since 1998. Every year he works as head or member of jury at international choral competitions in Lithuania and Europe. |

Event ManagerSilvija PročkytėStudied piano and musicology at the Juozas Naujalis Music School in Kaunas before taking on music education and conducting at the Music Academy of the Vytautas Magnus University. Recently she has been working with two academic choirs in Kaunas as an assistant conductor. She was a member of the Youth Committee of the European Choral Association, Europa Cantat, of which she was appointed chair in 2019. She has worked for the Europa Cantat festivals in Hungary and Estonia and collaborated with other choral associations, such as Musica Ficta, in charge of the Rimini International Choir Festival in Italy, and Choralies in Vaison la Romaine, France. In 2018 she worked for the Lithuanian Song Festival in Vilnius. Since 2019 she has been a manager and member of the steering committee of the Europa Cantat Junior Festival. |
