Let’s fill the streets of the European Capital of Culture with songs! Everyone is invited to participate in the open singing – both the participating choirs and people who are not completely related to the music but want to feel the spirit of the choir. With the help of the conductor, the participants of the open singing learn the parts of the songs together and then combine them into a common piece. The main goal of open singing is to strengthen the power of communality, to destroy religious and cultural boundaries that hinder the accumulation of a common goal. The singing is for everyone and at the Kaunas Cantat Festival, which will take place on June 9-12, he is convinced that choristers from various countries and residents of the city and guests will gather for a joint song in the European Capital of Culture – Kaunas.
